London Calling!

60 years on the throne.
And a Diamond status for a Monarch
who already has heaps of
diamonds.
Come June,
London
will be alive with Jubilee festivities.
Nobody does
"Royal"
better than
the Brits.
It's everywhere.
Thank goodness!
Location is paramount.
We positioned ourselves in
Covent Garden.
From there, we could walk to
anywhere
worth walking to.
It was a short stroll to...
and...
further onto...
Icons of the city.

Or you could take the...
...tube.
Or simply...
...cab it.
But mostly we...
...walked it.
London is a splendid place to holiday.
It has everything and anything
for
everyone.
Funnily enough.

It s been a couple
of years since my last visit.
I normally start the day with a...
...Big English Breakfast.
Then...
...hop onto a bus to get a feel of the city.
While passing through...
...and
...right through to
...where we headed towards
...and ended up by
...this famous silhouette with an amazing
and
brilliant evening sky.
A little later, it was
time for an aperitif at...
...the
Angel and Crown
on St Martins Lane.
Our reward for the day.
Much later, we rambled,
yes rambled,
 home
passing this...
...yet to be opened Rock Musical
and also went by...
...this,
and
...peeped through this
Alice in Wonderland
window.
Wow!
Tomorrow is another day!
Cheers!
The British are good at many things.
Theatre.
More theatre.
Architecture.
Art.
More art.
Fashion.
More Fashion.
Museums.

And some stunning buildings
which are museums.
Of course this smashing dish
splashed with vinegar over the
chips, then
head over to a....
...Pub to grab a pint.
Most of everything
can be best described as...
...Original.
And there are a great deal
of fantastic concepts like...
...this.
Not forgetting that shrine to plastic...
Madame Tussauds,
where millions has been
paid to view...
well...
WAX!
The Brits are getting better at...
...food.

Now that you've
armed yourself with an
Oyster Card,
the entire city is
literally...
your
Oyster!!!
Let's get going...

...first things first...
Here are some familiar sights...

And here are some Tube Trivia.
It is one of the oldest underground
railway in the world.
Opened in 1863.
Serves 270 stations.
Has 470 kilometres of track.
The oldest line is the Metropolitan Line.
Oldest station is Paddington.
( please don't nail me
on the
you-know-what
if I'm wrong )
Here is where you could buy something
for any cure...
both
medical and vanity purposes.
Meanwhile,
don't forget to stop to
smell the...
...flowers!
In the meantime, you could wander off
and get something...
...repaired.
Or stitched.
Browse in flea markets or...
...bookshops.
And perhaps even fall...
...in love!
I'm sure by now your...
...feet are killing you
and you need a
...cup of tea.
The Coca-cola of Britain.!
Which is available at every corner.

London has some
awesome
window displays.
Here are some...
but take note of what's
reflected.
You get a
great impression
of the city's architecture.
The British capital is not
characterised
by any particular style.
But the architect
John Nash ( 1752 - 1835 )
was responsible for most of the
Regency style buildings around the capital.
I personally like this mix match of structures.
It makes it all so...
...London!
Whatever your speed is,
you ll find it here.
Otherwise...make it happen!!!
The cream ain't going to
whip itself!

Imagination
is more important than
knowledge.
Don't you just...
...love London?

I mean there's so much to do....
...well, shopping is a "do" right?
This too!
How fun!
You know you can get...
...a good feed anywhere.
Free sightseeing...
Smells are free too...
But not here
Autographs are free!
After a hearty meal...
you can continue to savour the delights of...
...chocolate
and
...cheese?
Thinking of home by now?
Try making this when you eventually get back.

So!
You want more?
You have to catch a show...
...and feel the past,
but be reminded that...
Why bother with these,
when you can have...
...these!
And these.
Why not...
...grab a mag,
...explore the windows,
...contemplate what to do next,
as you're
...tempted to buy something,
when you should be...
...viewing this.
You may consider this though,
and think about it while
you're at...
...this.

Exhausted?
Have a seat next to this lovely cushion,
found at my favourite
store...
...where they're famous for their
...signature prints
and
...fun souvenirs
...and classy stuff
including a

...modern take on the old

...and new.
Do remember to...
...talk to the natives.
But seriously,
don't...
...buy junk!
However, you could
hop onto a...
...a bus or
...a cab to further
discover this city.
You many need a guide to...
...to seek out the best deals when you're
really...
...checking out the local talent.
Now and then,
do...
...pose for a photgraph.
By now,
we all know you're dying to...

...something deliciously yummy
in an posh...
...restaurant.
It's too early yet.
So why not enjoy a grand old...
...English
...High Tea!
The shops beckons...
...while you're considering this,
when you're pocket only has room for...
...this.
Don't hop onto....
...this red thing,
as you may end up...
So go get some...

...snacks,
where you drizzle generously with...
...olive oil.
As you munch,
you seriously consider
making that...
...call.
Then again,
you also have to think about
organising your...
...closets.
Please move away from the fire door,
as it's polite to follow...
...instructions as they
ultimately lead us to...
...something good.
Now, go pick up a good British read
...and learn that there's no
...such thing as a
free lunch.
Never follow.
Always choose your...
...own path
 as this will surely
 lead you to the...
...top!!!
Warhol would have approved.
Marc wouldn't.
Escada may yawn...
...and Armani is too BIG to care.
Hugo may be wary...
...but Oscar will only smile!
Again, don't be tempted to...
...nick this bike or
...jump on it.

London
you're
Fab !!!

See you soon.

"...did a
nightingale sing in
Berkeley Square?"
